What are camouflage gels?

Camouflage or cover gels are tinted gels that conceal unevenness and minor discolouration. They are applied so that they fade out towards the nail bed, visually lengthening it – the basis for natural looks, baby boomer gradients and French designs. What's inside the trial kit

The trial kit contains six camouflage gels of 15 ml each – enough to try every shade properly on several clients or on yourself:

1-phase gels: fewer steps, cleaner work

The camouflage gels in the kit are 1-phase gels: base, build-up and sealing are all possible with one gel. That saves time in the salon and keeps things simple at home, too. For extra shine, we recommend finishing with a top gel such as the BNC High-Gloss Finish Gel without sticky layer or the BNC Gloss Finish Gel. More gels of this type can be found under 1-phase gels.

How to work with camouflage gels

1. Preparation: Push back the cuticles, buff the natural nail and remove all dust thoroughly. Read how to do it perfectly in our article The perfect base for gel nails.
2. Application: Apply the camouflage gel so that it fades out towards the nail bed. With Cover Medium, work in several thin layers for more colour intensity.
3. Curing: 120 seconds in a UV/LED lamp (48 W according to the product description) or 2 minutes in a UV lamp.
4. Design & finish: Optionally add French or colour, then seal with finish gel.
